Columbia Power Technologies' Autonomous Offshore Power System (AOPS) converts the mechanical energy of waves into electricity, contributing to various applications offshore. The offshore power system, called SeaRAY, can generate power ranging from 10W to 1MW from the energy of ocean waves. To achieve a low-power system, it was necessary to make the power supply network extremely compact in order to maximize the power-to-weight ratio. The design team, specializing in the development of custom power systems from Vicor, has met the stringent requirements of SeaRAY by incorporating our new power modules.
